Never before has a documentary elicited so much fucking commentary on a single word. It’s a fucking brilliant piece, with appearances by George Carlin, Drew Carey, Alanis Morissette, Kevin Smith, Ice-T, and archival footage of Lenny Bruce.

There’s also The F Word, which was published by Random House a few years back. It goes into the history and the myths of the origins of everyone’s favorite word in English, provides literary examples, fictionalizations, and a glossary on F related terms.

F*ck did pretty much the same thing, although I didn’t note it in my half-assed review.
It went into the history, gave many examples of use, and attempted to get into why the word was deemed offensive. For a documentary, it was rather entertaining!
