Meet ‘les Pierrafeu’

If you’ve ever wondered what the introductory animation to “the Flintstones” would be like in French, wonder no more. It’s interesting to note how names don’t directly translate from one language to the next. The characters we know as Fred and Wilma Flintstone in English are Fred and Délima Caillou in French. Barney and Betty Rubble likewise become Arthur and Bertha Laroche.

So I guess if the movie Clueless were translated into French, dumpy guys would be Arthurs and hot chicks would be Berthas. Somehow, that doesn’t seem quite right.
