To Have Confidence

Rob Goodlatte’s post on becoming confident by faking it reminds me of a few things. First, it reminded me of a Peggy Bundy quote from the Fox television series “Married… With Children”:

If you can’t feel it, fake it.

Second — as if to remind me how truly gay I can be — it reminded me of the song “I Have Confidence” from the film version of the Sound of Music. Take a look at the song’s lyrics and you’ll understand why.

And lastly, it reminded me that this is something I should indeed practice now, especially since I’m working on achieving a few lofty goals.

“Fake it till you make it” is my favorite quote in this vein. So, what other lofty goals (besides ___) do you have?
