Yesterday, transgender man Thomas Beatie gave birth to a baby girl. Early this morning, North Carolina Senator Jesse Helms died. This further proves my (until now) unwritten theory that for every new life that comes into the world, one must go. In this case, it seems like sweet poetic justice.
I thought Helms died a long time ago. He wasn’t young when he retired, he must have lingered for a long time.
Perhaps Jesse Helms will try to disrupt Heaven. I have this odd feeling he’s not going to like it there. Or, he could turn out to be seriously wanting some ice water. I don’t know, it’s not for me to decide.
Well, as for Baby Beatie, it’s not every day that someone’s dad gives birth to them. That is special.
