Earlier this evening — well, I guess I can officially say “last night” — DCist Exposed opened at the Civilian Art Projects in D.C. The exhibit runs through March 15 and is located on the third floor of the gallery.
There was quite a crowd present for the opening reception, mostly DCist staff and the featured photographers. Several were armed with cameras, myself included. Check out my flickr photo set from the event. I finally had an excuse to break in the new high speed compact flash card I picked up for a bargain; 4GB for $28 — hooray for sales!
Rachel, a friend and colleague of mine from the Fruit Stand, had a piece in the show which sold before the event was even officially underway.
It’s too bad I couldn’t enter myself, but hey, them’s the breaks!
