If you’ve been planning to see Rent in New York before it closed in June but haven’t yet purchased tickets, you now have an additional 142,560 minutes to procrastinate. The Broadway show has extended its run at the Nederlander Theatre, where it opened on April 29, 1996. Back in January, the show announced it would close on June 1, but a couple of days ago announced the close date is now September 7.
