Those of you on twitter may appreciate this: a 3D representation of the infamous Fail Whale. This is full of WIN!
The New York City Waterfalls, an art installation by Olafur Eliasson, opens one week from tomorrow and will be located in four different spots: Governor’s Island; Pier 35 in Manhattan; the Brooklyn Bridge; and between Piers 4 and 5 in Brooklyn.
According to the New York Times, this is the biggest public art installation since the Gates in Central Park three years ago.
I never got to see the Gates, but I’m intent on seeing this before it closes on October 13.

The nice thing about having a pen tablet at work is that it not only helps make my design work a bit more efficient, but it also helps stave off boredom.
I drew a quickie dragon (with a gimpy left arm) in the short amount of down time I had before lunch. I seem to have a thing for drawing dragons.
“Walking” is an animated film of a little man painted on the wall of an art gallery. After each frame, the wall was wiped to accommodate a new frame of animation. Every few steps, the man morphs into a larger person and ultimately ends up at his original size.
This is easily one of the most amazing videos I’ve seen in a while.
