A few months ago, I scheduled time off from work to take a trip. Plans ultimately fell through, but I neglected to unschedule the days off. I completely forgot about it until the other day. As a result, I find myself off from the main job today and tomorrow. I still have to work at the part time job tomorrow night.
I spent a good chunk of last night on an on-and-off project here on the blog: categorizing and tagging the “Uncategorized” entries. I knocked out about 200 entries yesterday, and as of today, have 2,199 to go. I have to read all the entries and figure out where they fit in my category structure, and on top of that add tags to them accordingly. (Yes, there is a difference between a blog category and a blog tag, but that’s another entry.)
As I read through entries, I came across one I wrote two years ago about PocketMod, an analog alternative to the PDA. I made one for myself that included some pages for notes, emergency contact info, a calendar, and grids for tic-tac-toe. Now that I own an iPhone, there isn’t much need for any of those (except maybe tic-tac-toe… until February). You can also insert reference pages, list pages, and even a Soduku grid.
Creating a PocketMod for yourself requires Flash and a printer, natch.
