17 October. International Drive, Orlando.

There’s lots to see and do on I Drive. I’m across the street from my
hotel, waiting for a tourist trolley to check some of it out.

I took about 80 pics at Universal yesterday. I’ll post them later if I
have time.

A Little Taste of NYC In ORL

16 October. Universal Orlando’s version of the New York City skyline.
Notice the lack of tall, pointy buildings; I believe Disney-MGM has that
angle covered.

Well, color me surprised.

Repent America has proclaimed that Hurricane Katrina’s devastation of New Orleans is our fault. According to them, New Orleans was targeted because of the annual Southern Decadence event, which takes place every Labor Day weekend. With the bulk of the city underwater, this year’s festival was obviously cancelled.

Nearly four years ago, Jerry Falwell blamed gays and lesbians for the terrorist attacks on September 11; he recanted within days. In 1998, Pat Robertson performed a similar foot-in-mouth stunt when he blamed gays for the Florida brushfires, which coincided with a gay event in Orlando.
