In the last ten years or so, the one “party foul” I hear a lot about is double dipping, where you use a chip (or cracker or vegetable stick, etc.) to scoop some dip, take a bite of it, and then — using the same chip — dip again. It was the subject of one “Seinfeld” episode, which inspired someone to research the effects of double dipping. Because, you know, there’s nothing more important to research.
You can read the article I linked to above if you really want, but how about I save you five minutes: double dipping isn’t a great practice, but it’s not always as bad as people make it out to be.
