I just received an unusual news alert from CNet; it read “Alert: CNET editor missing” at the top, and links to an entry at their Crave blog (see excerpt below). James Kim, former TechTV personality and currently CNet’s MP3 editor, and his family went missing.
The 35-year-old Kim, his 30-year-old wife Kati and daughters Penelope (4 years) and Sabine (7 months) left their home in San Francisco last week on a road trip to the Pacific Northwest. They were last seen on Saturday, November 25, in Portland, Ore., according to the San Francisco Police Department, which has opened a missing persons’ investigation. They were driving a 2005 silver Saab station wagon with the personalized California license plate “DOESF.”
At first I thought the headline was a joke — they’ve used clever headlines in their Digital Dispatch emails before — until I read the entry and confirmed at the TWiT and San Francisco Police Department’s sites. Anyone with information should call the SF Police at 415/558 5508.
