Funplex, the latest from the B-52s (note the absence of the apostrophe), was released just over a week ago. It wasn’t until just the other day when I first saw the video for the first single, also called “Funplex.”

As a rule, I love me some B-52s. I was rather excited a couple of years ago when I got to watch their sound check for an event I worked at. My interest was piqued when I found out an album of all new material was to be released this year.

Upon first listen, the title song didn’t do much for me, but after listening to it a couple of times on the train this morning it is growing on me. The rest of the album’s a decent listen, and it makes up for my lackluster first impression of the first single.
